KEY PLAYERS: Dylan Larkin had a goal and an assist in the Red Wings’ 3-0 shutout Monday in New Jersey. He has eight goals and 30 assists this season and leads the team in scoring. Henrik Zetterberg, who is second with 31 points, needs three goals to tie Ted Lindsay for fifth all-time in Red Wings history (335). The Wings played Monday without Justin Abdelkader for the fifth straight game and were also missing defenseman Trevor Daley, who was injured midway through Detroit’s previous game against Carolina. For the Flyers, Travis Konecny is red-hot. After a first half of the season in which he couldn’t buy a goal, Konecny has 10 points in his last 11 games. He had two goals over the weekend, including Sunday’s overtime winner against the Capitals.

THINGS TO KNOW: The shutout of the Devils was only the Red Wings’ second win over their last six games. Backup goaltender Petr Mrazek became the fifth goaltender in franchise history to record consecutive shutouts and the first since Dominik Hasek in 2008. So he could play again tonight. The Flyers power play is 0 for 12 over the last four games. It’s 12th in the league at 20.2 percent. The penalty kill remains among the NHL’s worst, 29th at 74.8 percent. Mark Alt was promoted and Travis Sanheim was demoted Monday. Sanheim has struggled since being one of two rookie defensemen with whom the Flyers broke camp, registering five points (1-4), and a minus-10.

HEAD TO HEAD: This is the second of three meetings between the teams this season. The Flyers defeated the Red Wings, 4-3, on Dec.20. Sean Couturier’s goal at 5:57 of the third broke the tie. The teams will play again March 20 back in Detroit. The Flyers are 65-55-21 all-time against Detroit. They are 22-39-10 in Detroit.
