Sixers' Joel Embiid to remain sidelined vs. Miami Heat

Sixers fans hoping to get one last in-person glimpse of Joel Embiid at the Wells Fargo Center before the NBA All-Star break are out of luck.

The rookie center will remain sidelined with a left-knee bone bruise on Saturday night when the Sixers host the Miami Heat.

The Sixers (19-34) will play on the road for their final games before the break. They will travel to Charlotte on Monday to face the Hornets then head to Boston to meet the Celtics on Wednesday.

Saturday’s game will mark the ninth straight and 12th in the last 13 that Embiid has missed since suffering the knee injury on Jan. 20 against the Portland Trail Blazers.
